COUNTRY SINGER/SONGWRITER GARRETT PITTMAN
Garrett Pittman is a twenty-five (25) year old country music singer-songwriter and Nashville recording artist from Marbury (“Slapout”), Alabama.
Garrett began playing the guitar at a real early age in life with his grandfather’s influence.
Throughout his teenage years, Garrett mastered the art of playing the guitar and became an “exceptionally” good guitarist.
In June of 2015, at the age of twenty-three, Garrett began his music career as a singer/songwriter, which was heavily influenced by people telling him “that he could sing”.
In July of 2015, Garrett wrote his first song “Hangovers Hurt Every Time”, with many more songs written by Garrett to follow.
In August of 2015, Garrett had his first public performance at The Exchange at the Renaissance Hotel in downtown Montgomery, Alabama, where he plays regularly. Garrett’s music career began to flourish.
In April of 2016, Garrett recorded his debut acoustic album titled “You Don’t Love Me” in Nashville, TN. “You Don’t Love Me”, “Hangovers Hurt Every Time”, and “It’s All About the Money” were played on the radio in Nashville, Memphis, GA, and TX, with worldwide audiences.
In August of 2017, Garrett recorded his songs “Southern Thing”, “County Road 23”, “Spell On Me” and “To The Honkytonk” with hit-making Nashville record producer Bill McDermott at Omni Sounds Studios and Benchmark Studios on Music Row in Nashville.
In October of 2017, Garrett released his single “Southern Thing”, which has hit the charts and is being played on the radio throughout the U.S., the United Kingdom, and worldwide.
In February of 2018, Garrett released “County Road 23”, which has also hit the airwaves. Garrett’s songs are available on Spotify, iTunes, Amazon, Deezer, Google Play and all other major digital retailers.
Garrett performs publicly at various venues in Alabama, Tennessee, Georgia, and Florida. In 2016, Garrett performed in Nashville during CMA Fest. In 2017, Garrett again performed in Nashville
during CMA Fest and was a guest performer at The Nashville Palace. In December of 2017 and January of 2018, Garrett performed at the Alley Taps in downtown Nashville on The Iceman Radio
Show, where he was a featured artist.
Garrett had the privilege of being an artist on the cusp on The Iceman’s Top 40 Countdown charts in Nashville. In February of 2018, Garrett performed shows at the Alley Taps in downtown Nashville. Garrett is scheduled to perform at The Alley Taps at CMA Fest 2018.
Some of Garrett’s greatest influences are: Hank Williams, Waylon Jennings, Merle Haggard, George Jones, Alan Jackson, Travis Tritt, Vern Gosdin, Johnny Cash, Jamey Johnson, John Michael
Montgomery, and Johnny Paycheck. Garrett’s music is categorized as traditional, outlaw, rockabilly, and dirt road country music. Besides his love for music, writing songs, and performing publicly, Garrett enjoys hunting and fishing in his spare time.
