Sephora Bateman with her twin sister Senora have been singing for as long as they can remember. They have always enjoyed expressing themselves through music and decided last year to share their music with the world. Together they wrote and produced their first album “Break Out” and formed “Echo Mirror.”
During their last year of high school, they wrote the lyrics to 10 songs while driving to school. Their parents, however, would not allow them to start recording before their graduation. After graduation, they began recording the songs for Break Out.
The album includes several types of music to show how colorful the world is. Since they have listened to a wide range of musical genres, their eclectic style is influenced by everything from Taylor Swift to Enrique Iglesias to Sega from islands in the Indian Ocean.
The twins sometimes perform duets, but each of them also has their style which they like to express in solo tracks. When either gets stuck on a song, they often turn to the other, who provides their own interpretation on the theme. They claim that it’s their twin power.
More About Echo Mirror
We are Echo Mirror. We are twins, and we often think about how we are each other’s echo and mirror. We were raised in a family focused on education and hard work. We have been in love with music since we were little kids. Over the years, we have learned to play several instruments and participated in various musical groups when possible. In high school, we felt a strong desire to compose our own songs and wrote our first song, Thunder. We sang our song for the first time at a talent show at our high school. That first performance was a little nerve-wracking, but was an amazing experience.
During our last year of high school, we wrote the lyrics to 10 songs while driving to school. Our parents, however, wanted us to focus on school until we graduated. After graduation, we began recording those self-composed songs, which can be found on our first album “Break Out”. The album includes several types of music to show how different and colorful the world is.
