When he was just 12 years old he started writing lyrics. “I really didn’t know what I was doing but I had an idea from listening to songs that where on the radio and although I didn’t play an instrument at the time I always had melodies in my head.” says Chris

It wasn’t until he was 14 that he started playing the guitar after some failed attempts at playing the french horn and drums in the school band, but as he continued to develop his guitar skills he was also developing his lyric writing and songwriting.

Chris Scharenbroch had joined a local church group where he actually started playing bass and also started a cover band with some friends of his where he continued playing the bass.

Chris Scharenbroch hoping to have some songs placed in a movie and he wants to explore orchestrating music for movies as well.

“I love the sound of the strings in the background, how it can set the mood for a scene, or how it can inspire an emotion.” says Chris

“After I graduated high school I returned to playing the guitar and started to develop more technical skills and I started writing more seriously.

I also started working in a local paper mill where I almost ended doing anything musically by accidentally having my right arm caught in between 2 rolls on a machine that I was working on. I recovered from that accident by forcing myself to play even though my right hand was severely swollen, I just didn’t want to stop playing or writing.

After that I continued playing guitar with local cover bands and then I started recording some of the songs that I had recently written. I love writing and recording and I continue to do this as much as possible, I have several songs placed in some music libraries, which I am extremely proud of.” says Chris
